About Us

Crocus provides safe and accepting drop-in centre for adults who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Anyone accessing Crocus must first become a member of Crocus. Members are able to participate in various programs throughout the day, purchase a healthy meal or snacks from our canteen, and find casual work through our Transitional Employment program.

Crocus is a space where members have autonomy to choose how their day looks and what activities they participate in. Approximately 100 people come through our doors daily, with over half dropping in almost every day. Members create a mutually supportive environment by supporting each other through shared experiences.

Crocus hosts students from Nursing, Social Work, and Occupational Therapy programs through extended practicums and short term visits. Through interacting with our members, students learn about some of the challenges people with a mental illness face as well as resources available in the community

Our drop-in centre is meant to feel like a home and provides members with access to computers, a television, a phone, nutritious meals, washrooms and a place to develop healthy, lasting friendships.
